The EC3-33x series from ALCO CONTROLS is a new generation of electronic controller for refrigeration and air conditioning systems. The controller housing is designed for DIN rail mounting. The optionally available ECD-001 display unit is suitable for integration into standard 71 x 29 mm openings. It offers a wide range of functions such as overheat regulation, temperature regulation as well as defrosting control with a TCP/IP Ethernet connection and WebServer feature. All monitoring and configuration tasks can be performed from any web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer® or Mozilla Firefox). The version using the Echelon LON® network protocol is used in more complex systems to enable communication between controllers.

EC3-33x cooling controller:
Adaptive overheat control using EX4 to EX8 electronic control valves with stepped motors
- Regulate the air temperature
- Defrosting control with fan speed adjustment
- Evaporating pressure limiter (MOP)
- The 4 to 20 mA signal from the pressure transmitter has been daisy-chained so that a single pressure transmitter can operate several controllers
- Two digital inputs for compressor monitoring and cold storage area door contact
- Four relay outputs for compressor, fan, defrosting and alarm
- Supports two network technologies:
- TCP/IP Ethernet with web server function allows monitoring and configuration tasks to be performed from a normal web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer® or Mozilla Firefox)
- Echelon FTT10 LON® protocol. Monitoring and configuration tasks are performed using a monitoring system such as the EMS Monitoring Server from ALCO
- Supports email alerts (EC3-332)
- Uninterrupted power supply closes the electrical control valve in the event of a power failure
- Connection using pluggable screw terminals
- Sturdy aluminium housing for DIN rail mounting
ECD display unit:
- Parameter and status indicators and the ability to modify regulator settings via a keyboard
- For installation into the control board
- 2½ digital LED display with automatic decimal point
- Indicator LEDs for compressor, fans, heating and alarm
- Connection to EC3 with ECC-N10 cable, or CAT5 cable with RJ45 plugs
- Control board opening 71 x 29 mm
- Protection rating of IP65 when installed into control panel
