The devices in the FCS series are electronic three-phase speed controllers that utilise the principle of phase cutting to control the output voltage to the electrical load depending on the input control signal. They control asynchronous electric motors connected to e.g. axial fans, pumps, mixers and agitators, etc.

• Linear control: In this case, each change to the input signal corresponds proportionally to a constant variation in voltage of the load. Significant speed variations occur

when regulating signal values are very low. These are, however, compensated by minimal variations around the higher value.

• Minimum speed: Turning the MIN trimmer clockwise on the minimum output signal (0 V) increases the minimum output voltage from 50 (29) to around 200 V (115 V).

• Max. speed: Turning the MAX trimmer anticlockwise on the maximum output signal (10 V) reduces the maximum output voltage from 400 (230) to around 300 V (172 V).

• SCHWELLE: Turning the SCHWELLE trimmer anticlockwise reduces the control voltage (from 7 to 10 V with 0-10 V DC signal or from 3.5 to 5 V with PWM signal); this value immediately increases the output voltage to maximum; otherwise turn the trimmer clockwise.
