Direct condensation in the heating water improves the efficiency of the refrigeration system and uses free waste heat to generate high hot water temperatures. The FRIONIC system storage tank (heat recovery) was specially developed for direct waste heat utilization from refrigeration systems. FRIONIC® fits any compression refrigeration system.

With this innovative heat recovery module from FORSTNER, all components of an efficient waste heat recovery and distribution system are combined in a space-saving, compact unit. With the DCW, based on a hygienic system storage tank (HS) and additionally installed condenser for direct condensation, the basis for integrating an almost cost-free energy source into a heating system is created.

Hot water and heating at zero cost!
A refrigeration system extracts heat from the refrigerated products with considerable energy expenditure, which is normally released uselessly into the environment and wasted via air-cooled external condensers as a "waste product".

The FRIONIC system storage tank uses this heat. By means of a directly integrated heat exchanger (condenser), the waste heat is transferred to the storage tank and heats domestic hot water and heating water for free. Due to the design, the condensing phases are separated into desuperheating, condensing and subcooling. In this way, hot water can be produced far above the condensing temperature. The strong stratification makes it easier to get the heat out of the storage tank as well, the entropy losses are minimized.

This type of energy generation or reuse of valuable thermal energy is therefore far more economical than conventional systems. Not only the reduction of the condensing pressure, which massively minimizes the energy demand and the wear, but also the environmental balance is a strong argument for the FRIONIC® system storage.
