Several organisations in the refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump sector have published a joint statement on the implementation of the EU Environmental Crime Directive and called for tougher measures against environmental crime. The associations involved include BIV, BTGA, VDKF and FGK, amongst others.
The investigation shows that banned or illegally sold refrigerants are still easy to find online. They are often offered at low prices and sold to people who do not hold the necessary certification.
