The stainless steel part of the solder adapter and the brass area of the valve insert ensure an optimal seal. An additional copper seal is not necessary during initial installation. However, the brass surface must not be scratched or damaged. Once the cap nut has been screwed and unscrewed several times or if the brass surface is in poor condition, then an additional copper seal may be required.
Correct torque for cap nut:
40 to 45 Nm (without copper seal)
40 to 50 Nm (with copper seal)
