Copeland was the first company to make R410A compressors and is the only company that covers the entire range of 2 to 40 hp (5 to 104 kW).

Although R410A is a blend, it behaves more like a pure single substance refrigerant with negligible temperature glide. R410A has excellent heat transfer properties and combines higher efficiency with the potential to reduce system costs.

R410A also works very efficiently with scroll compressors, thus enabling a compact system design to be implemented.

The effectiveness of R410A also makes it environmentally friendly. This effectiveness in turn reduces CO2emissions, and ultimately contributes to slowing global warming.

R410A will quickly become the main replacement for R22 all around the world, especially in the field of air conditioning. Intensive testing has shown that there are decisive advantages for systems using R410A, primarily due to the higher thermal transfer coefficients and lower pressure loss.
