The Carel electronic expansion valves are 2-pole stepper motor valves for almost any application in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning technology. A range of valves are also available for use with transcritical CO2 systems (within the E2V-C and E3V-C). The power range for refrigeration and air conditioning applications is 0.5 to 1,850 kW cooling capacity. The control range of the valves is from 10% to 100% of the maximum available cooling power. They are suitable for bidirectional operation and do not require a specific pressure differential. The degree to which the valves (E2V to E7V) are opened is governed across a range from 0 to 480 steps. For a valve needle stroke length of approx. 15 mm, this provides extremely precise control of the refrigerant flow. The wide and precise control range of the electronic Carel ExV valves, combined with the appropriate driver, allows considerable energy savings to be made when operating refrigeration and air conditioning systems. All CAREL ExV electronic expansion valves are highly versatile with regards to the components used. The valve body is installed independently of the mechanical valve insert, the inspection glass with humidity indicator (optional) and the stator (not available for CO2 applications). When working carefully, the soldering process does not cause damage to any mechanical or electrical parts. The use of high-quality materials and a production process with each individual piece receiving a final quality inspection guarantees the best possible quality standard for the product.
