The RGE controls the fan speed of an air-cooled condenser in refrigeration and air conditioning systems that are operated year round using phase angle control. It maintains the condensing pressure at a constant level by changing the fan speed according to the required condenser pressure.

It maintains the condensing pressure at a constant level by changing the fan speed according to the required condenser pressure.<br> Single-phase version: If the speed drops below the minimum permitted, then the controller can either shut off or continue operation at approx. 45% of the max. effective power.<br> Three-phase version: If the speed drops below the minimum permitted, then the controller can either shut off or continue operation at approx. 35% of the max. effective power.
