Description
The MTE series is used for low profile cooling cells for storing fresh and frozen products.

The MTE series is used for low profile cooling cells for storing fresh and frozen products.
Two versions are available for different temperatures:
- for high temperatures (= +2 °C) with fin spacing of 4 mm;
- for low temperatures (= -25 °C model EDP) with fin spacing of 7 mm and electrical defrosting [optional additional heater]. (EDP series on request)
The high-performance heat exchangers found in all models in this series are made using special profile aluminium fins and are produced for use with copper pipes suitable for modern refrigerants.
The standard motor fans have the following properties:
- Diameter 250 mm, alternating current 230 V/1/50-60 Hz with shielded terminals and protective grille made from polyamide glass fibres;
- Protection class IP 44;
- Inner temperature monitor;
- Operating temperature -35 °C to +40 °C.
- Mains plug.
Versions with standard ED defrosting are equipped with stainless steel heating elements and vulcanised end terminators and intended for use with a 230 V/1/50-60 Hz connection.
The electrical parts and the housing are connected to an earth terminal; motor and heating element connections are in separate junction boxes with an IP 54 protection rating. Models with different heat exchangers, defrosting mechanisms and motor fans can be provided on request.
Use the “Scelte“ program from Modine to select models that function in conditions other than standard conditions stated in the catalogue.
