Description
Adhesive 520 has been specially developed for the Armaflex material. It contains substances that mildly dissolve the Armaflex and reliably bind the join. The adhesive is resistant to the effects of weather, age and temperature.
Features

- Preparation: The surface must be clean and free from dust. A special cleaning solution should be used for this purpose. If gluing to painted surfaces, check compatibility of the materials. Do not use the adhesive on asphalt, bitumen or red lead coating (linseed oil basis). Adheres well to surfaces coated with Armstrong anti-rust paint. Shake well and stir the 520 adhesive before use. Do not use on systems that are currently running or in direct sunlight. Ideal working temperature is +20 °C. Do not use below ±0 °C.
- Use: Follow the Armaflex instructions. Basic instructions: Apply the adhesive with a short, firm brush. Use a spatula or lambskin roll for large surface areas.
- Pipe insulation: Adhesive 520 should be thinly applied to both surfaces that will be stuck together. Once a finger placed onto the adhesive no longer draws any threads when pulled away (required time depends on the ambient conditions), carefully join the two surfaces together and briefly apply a strong force.
- Vessel insulation: (entire surface) Start by applying the 520 adhesive thinly to the rough side of the Armaflex plate and then onto the surface that is to be insulated. After a short period of time (see above), attach the plates.
- Setting time: 36 hours
- Storage: As cool as possible, but free from frost. Jellification that occurs due to frost is reversible
- Storage life: approx. 1 year
- Normal yield: 3-4 m2 per litre when applied to entire surfaces for plate material (when applied to both surfaces)
