K65® allows for the reliable and economical installation of refrigeration systems with operating pressures up to 130 bar. The K65® material also demonstrates excellent thermal conductivity, making it suitable for use as a heat transfer pipe. Compared to non-rusting steels (stainless steel), this is better by a factor of 20.<br><br>The K65® system has been specifically designed for high pressure applications. Pipes and fittings are made from the tough copper material Wieland K65® - an alloy that has long been successfully used in many other technical fields.

K65® besitzt eine gute Beständigkeit in natürlicher und industrieller Atmosphäre und gegen Trink- und Brauchwasser, wässrige und alkalische Lösungen, Wasserdampf, nicht oxidierende Säuren sowie neutrale Salzlösungen. K65® ist außerdem immun gegen Spannungsrisskorrosion.
Es ist aber gegen Lösungen, die Cyanide, Halogenide bzw. Ammoniak enthalten, gegen oxidierende Säuren, feuchtes Ammoniak und halogenhaltige Gase und Schwefelwasserstoff nicht beständig.

Die für die Kältetechnik üblichen Verarbeitungsrichtlinien für Verbindungsleitungen aus Kupfer gemäß EN 378 und DKI Informationsdruck i.164 sind einzuhalten. Als Lote sollten aktuell alle Silberhartlote mit einem Mindestsilbergehalt von 2 Prozent eingesetzt werden.
