The original refrigerant D-TEK measurement device - the first precise, reliable, high-sensitivity, wireless refrigerant leak detector - revolutionised the field of measurement technology. A further enhancement to this pioneering technology is the D-TEK CO2 - the only hand-held refrigerant leak detector specially for detecting next generation carbon dioxide refrigerant.

The D-TEK CO2 uses an innovative infrared absorption sensor cell that is extremely selective for carbon dioxide. The circuitry used compensates for atmospheric carbon dioxide to eliminate the risk of false positives. The sensitivity of the D-TEK CO2 remains the same over a long period of time so that you can expect consistent, precise and reliable performance. The special infrared cell has a service life of about 1000 hours, meaning few replacements are needed.

Other improvements include a battery indicator, a sensor fault indicator, a sensor self-test and rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries.
