Based on our current semi-hermetic series with its outstanding advantages and features, as well as a basic range of CO2 compressors, tried and tested over many years, there is now a smaller cylinder capacity available for subcritical CO2 applications.
Particularly suited to supermarket and industrial cooling applications.
Maximum permitted overpressure up to 55 bar on the high pressure side and 40 bar on the low pressure side.

Special features
Since Bock compressors are of extremely high quality and robust, it is primarily the motor design that has been adapted for CO2 along with a small number adaptations to the drive mechanics and associated modifications to valves and seals.
These adaptations and the extensive use of tried and tested standard parts ensures the best possible operational reliability while also providing the optimum requirements for economically keeping replacement parts to hand.

The refrigerant CO2
.Carbon dioxide (CO2) has the technical designation R744 and enjoys a long tradition in the field.
It is a colourless gas that turns to liquid when pressure is applied and has a slightly acidic smell and taste. Carbon dioxide has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP = 0) and, when used as a refrigerant in a closed circuit, a negligible greenhouse warming potential (GWP = 1).
It is non-flammable, chemically inactive and heavier than air. In higher concentrations, carbon dioxide has a narcotic effect on humans and is an asphyxiant.
Carbon dioxide occurs naturally in large amounts.
