The sturdy steel housing of the outdoor unit is self-supporting and protected against corrosion by the zinc coating. The boxes contain electronic E-valves (EEV) and a control board. The inside of the box is filled entirely with foam to prevent unwanted condensation.

The LEV boxes are not suitable for installation outdoors and should be suspended at the same level as the indoor units (maximum distance 15m). The installation position of the box must always be horizontal. Special mounting brackets (wall or suspended ceiling mounting) are included in the scope of delivery. Ensure that the boxes are not installed in environments that are sensitive to noise (e.g. bedrooms).

All indoor units are connected to the box individually (electrical and refrigeration). The box itself is connected to the outdoor unit electrically and refrigeration-wise. A separate connecting line to the external unit must be laid in each case when using 2 or 3 boxes.

These boxes are only required for the following outdoor units: FM41AH ~ FM57AH. The cooling capacity of each individual indoor unit must not exceed 7.0 kW. Since the boxes contain the E-valves, at least one box must be connected.

Refrigerant distributors are required for the connection of 2 distributor boxes.

Up to 3 distributor boxes can be connected to the FM57AH, which requires the refrigerant distributor PMBL1203F0.
