?xml>Frequency-controlled Bock power racks operate using two semi-hermetic HI series compressors, where one frequency-controlled compressor takes the role of the master compressor and the second compressor is activated unregulated by the frequency converter. These units have been specially developed for use in refrigeration systems with variable refrigeration demand. The use of a KIMO frequency converter allows the main compressor to run continuously while optimally adjusting cooling performance to the current conditions. The partial load behaviour has been further optimised compared to the E-FU-1BO devices by dividing power across two compressors. These devices are therefore an energy-efficient and space-saving alternative to conventional power racks with multiple compressors. The Bock power racks are available in four different performance classes. Refrigerant products R134a, R450A, R513A, R404A, R507A, R448A, R449A can be used. The maximum frequency may need to be adapted for air conditioning applications.
The cooling power is regulated depending on intake pressure. A KIMO frequency converter (optional) is used in combination with a pressure transmitter to control the inverter compressor unit. This is mounted and thermally decoupled on the intake side and records the actual intake pressure value. The frequency inverter regulates the cooling power of the rack so that the target value is achieved as closely as possible. The frequency converter is included with the control box. Configuration is input via a keyboard. The frequency convertor comes pre-configured for R134a NK. Only a small number of parameters must be changed to make changes to the refrigerant used and the place of use. If there is a fault with the frequency converter, it is possible to manually switch to a emergency operating mode with via an additional low pressure switch. Using the included wire jumper, the emergency mode can be automatically activated via an integrated mini-PLC in the event that the frequency inverter fails. In order to evenly distribute the load and oil across both compressors, the control cabinet is fitted with an automatic sequencing switch.
The control cabinet is attached to the frame and pre-wired. All components are mounted to a welded and coated steel frame. The power rack stands on the supplied rubber-bonded metal base. Refrigeration lines are conveniently grouped together at the top rear. Power racks are fitted with an oil separator and heater as standard in order to ensure reliable operation, even during a temporary minimal cooling load on the system.
