SCHIESSL logistics center in Cheb goes into operation

In Cheb/Eger, SCHIESSL's new logistics center will go into operation in September 2021. SCHIESSL has already been using the site as a refrigerant filling and buffer warehouse since 2007. In the future, subsidiaries and customers throughout Europe will also be supplied with refrigeration and air conditioning products from the new logistics center. Groundbreaking for the modern central warehouse was already in January 2021. In total, the SCHIESSL logistics center now has 8,000 m² of storage space.

In a total construction period of 9 months, a high-bay warehouse was built at a cost of 6 million euros, which will be stocked with goods from September. Then the delivery phase will begin, of the more than 5,000 stock items with a storage value of 15 million euros. For the time being, 20 employees are employed to manage the 15,000 storage locations semi-automatically using industrial trucks and to operate the refrigerant filling system. With this expansion of our storage capacities, we will be even faster and more flexible in the future and thus further expand our service level.

The absolute highlight for our customers is the barcode/QR code that will in future be found on every package that leaves the central warehouse. This barcode ensures 100% identification of the goods. In addition, the QR code contains a corresponding link to the my SCHIESSL platform, where our customers can then immediately find any further information or documents they need about the item.
